Me da igual "cortolos" o "cortólos" o "cortolós" o "córtolos"..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Kennicott

"Instead of wyyasar "and he cut," the parallel passage is wyyasem, "and he put them;" which is also the reading here of seven MSS collated by Dr. Kennicott. Sawing asunder, etc., of human beings, have no more place in the text, than they had in David's conduct towards the Ammonites."

    yasar : way·yā·śar

    Strong's Concordance
    yasar: to discipline, chasten, admonish
    Original Word:
    Part of Speech: Verb
    Transliteration: yasar
    Phonetic Spelling: (yaw-sar')
    Short Definition: chasten

    Yasem : way··śem

    STRONG 7760

    http://bibliaparalela.com/hebrew/7760.htm

... wəśîm- wəśimū wəśîmū wəśōwm wəṯāśêm wəyāśêm wəyāśîmū yā·śêm
    yā·śî·mū yā·śim·śîm yā·śūm yaSemśêm yaSim ...

    Strong's Concordance
sum or sim: to put, place, set
    Original Word:
    Part of Speech: Verb
    Transliteration: sum or sim
    Phonetic Spelling: (soom)
    Short Definition: put

LA New King Versión aclara :1 Chronicles 20:3 Septuagint reads cut them.

    irrefutable!!!

Mire lo que dice el enlace puesto por ciro :Kennicott's great work was in one sense a failure. jajajajajajajjajajajajaaj

3 And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

Ver. 3. Harrows. Heb. “cut them with saws, and with harrows; (H.) or, rollers of iron, and with saws.” But some other term was probably used, as we find saws before. C. — Prot. have “axes.” This exemplary punishment was in consequence of the violation of the law of nations. Abulensis pronounced it lawful. Tirin accuses David of a grievous sin of cruelty; observing that he was at this time involved in the sin of adultery: and people easily fall from one abyss into another. Cruelty and lust often go together. Yet it seems best to suspend our judgment. H. — David might only treat the most guilty in this manner. D.

Here we have the destruction of Rabbah, the metropolis of their kingdom (1 Chronicles 20:1), the putting of their king's crown upon David's head (1 Chronicles 20:2), and the great severity that was used towards the people, 1 Chronicles 20:3

American Standard Version (ASV 1901) [2]

    King James Version (KJV 1769)
    — And he brought out the people that [were] in it, and cut [them] with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
New American Standard Bible (NASB ©1995)
    — He brought out the people who [were] in it, and cut [them] with saws and with sharp instruments and with axes. And thus David did to all the cities of the sons of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned [to] Jerusalem.
Webster's Revision of the KJB (WEB 1833)
    — And he brought out the people that [were] in it, and cut [them] with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so David dealt with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
    Darby's Translation (DBY 1890)
    — And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with the saw, and with harrows of iron, and with saws. And so David did to all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
    Rotherham's Emphasized Bible (EBR 1902)
    — and, the people that were therein, brought he forth, and cut with the saw and with threshing sledges of iron and with axes, thus also, used David to do unto all the cities of the son of Ammon,—and David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
    Young's Literal Translation (YLT 189
    — and the people who [are] in it he hath brought out, and setteth to the saw, and to cutting instruments of iron, and to axes; and thus doth David to all cities of the sons of Ammon, and David turneth back, and all the people, to Jerusalem.
    Douay-Rheims Challoner Revision (DR 1750)
    — And the people that were therein he brought out: and made harrows, and sleds, and chariots of iron to go over them, so that they were cut and bruised to pieces: in this manner David dealt with all the cities of the children of Ammon: and he returned with all his people to Jerusalem.
Original King James Bible (AV 1611) [2]
    — And hee brought out the people that [were] in it, and cut them with sawes, and with harrowes of yron, and with axes: euen so dealt Dauid with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And Dauid and all the people returned to Ierusalem.
Brenton Greek Septuagint (LXX, Restored Names)
    — And he brought out the people that were in it, and sawed them asunder with saws, and [cut them] with iron axes, and with harrows: and thus David did to all the children of Ammon. And David and all his people returned to Jerusalem.
